EliteSports Valdecañas

We introduce the second edition of the attractive camp at Isla de Valdecañas.

Placed at the Valdecañas reservoir, province of Cáceres and at only 170 kms. from Madrid city, it is an exclusive resort, located in an island within the reservoir, and communicated to El Gordo village through one only checkpoint road.

There are two date options for the summer camp:

• 1 – 11 July 2012
• 1 – 14 July 2012

and are thought for children from 7 to 14 years old.

ACCOMMODATION
Pupils are accommodated at the HUSA HOTEL ISLA DE VALDECAÑAS (www.husa.es), located in the island, in rooms of 2 or 3 beds. It has swimming pool and artifitial beach. The sports area has sailing harbour, tennis and paddle tennis courts, natural and artifitial grass football fields, multisports pavillion and bikes circuit.

The Isla de Valdecañas Golf Club (www.golfvaldecanas.es), in the same resort, has an 18 holes course, driving range, putting green, short game area and an exclusive bag storage room for the camp students.

For the local residents, we introduce the non-boarding option, where the student can live at home and attend the camp daily (from Monday to Sunday). Please consult conditions.

ACTIVITIES

Pupils at Elite Sports Valdecañas Camp have to choose a Main Activity and an Optional Activity (Main Activity and Optional Activity may be the same one, except in the English case, becoming then an Intensive course on the chosen sport):

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• GOLF + ENGLISH. GOLF: 3 daily hours from Monday to Saturday, following TPI guidelines, Titleist Performance Institute (www.mytpi.com) and conducted by golf instructor Freddy Lilly and Ivan Sueiras, with their academy Fresh Golf. The activity will be developed at Isla de Valdecañas Golf Club (www.golfvaldecanas.es). One competition a week. ENGLISH LANGUAGE: 2,5 daily hours, from Monday to Saturday, run by teachers of the prestigious company ASTEX. Groups of 10 students divided in ages. Lessons are carried out at the hotel conference halls.
• TENNIS + ENGLISH. TENNIS: 3 daily hours from Monday to Saturday, taught by graduate instructors at the resort tennis facilities, with 5 tennis courts. There will be organised weekly competitions. ENGLISH LANGUAGE: 2,5 daily hours, from Monday to Saturday, run by teachers of the prestigious company ASTEX. Groups of 10 students divided in ages. Lessons are carried out at the hotel conference halls.
• PADDLE TENNIS + ENGLISH. PADDLE TENNIS: 3 daily hours from Monday to Saturday, taught by graduate instructors at the resort paddle tennis facilities, with 10 courts. There will be organised weekly competitions. ENGLISH LANGUAGE: 2,5 daily hours, from Monday to Saturday, run by teachers of the prestigious company ASTEX. Groups of 10 students divided in ages. OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

• FOOTBALL: 3 training hours a day, from Monday to Saturday, instructed by Real Madrid ex-players. It is carried out at the sports area within the resort, with natural and artifitial grass fields, two “Football-7″ fields and two multisport courts.
• SAILING: 3 daily hours from Monday to Saturday, at the resort sailing facilities.
• ENGLISH & FUN: 3 daily hours developing varied activities in ENGLISH, at the Resort’s facilities, where the students will improve and practise the language. The goal is students to reflect those subjects previously learned at classes, interacting with teachers and other pupils.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Besides the selected options, pupils at Valdecañas camp enjoy the swimming pool, basketball, football, adventure games, bikes circuit, navigation, night activities, and during the weekends gymkhanas and excursions.
